In line with Government guidance we have suspended all Coding Club classes until further notice
Clickworks Coding Club is aimed at the next generation of digital masters who are keen to learn about coding and give it a go!
Delivered in partnership with local software developer Rapid ERP, the fortnightly club will give students from local secondary schools an opportunity to explore their interest in coding. They will learn to program, develop websites, apps and games, build things with code and electronics, and much more.
Attendees will meet like-minded young people and gain confidence, new friends, and valuable skills for the future. We’re aiming to make learning to code a fun, sociable, and creative experience and open up new avenues for young people who might not otherwise have such learning opportunities!
Coding Club is open to complete beginners as well as to young people who have coded before.
Open to young people from secondary school year 7 – 11. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, who are required to remain on the premises for the duration of the session. Parents can help to get set up and ready but don’t need to be involved in the session (although they are welcome to help) as our volunteer mentors will assist all children.
Designed for students of secondary school age, Coding Club runs fortnightly on a Thursday evening between 4.00pm and 5.30pm at Clickworks. Attendance is free of charge; however, registration is necessary in order to guarantee a place.
